I’ve got one of these too - though it looks like a murder weapon, it’s actually the coolest wine opener you’ll ever find. Basically, you jab the needle all the way through the cork. There is a small hole at the bottom of the needle, which injects compressed gas into the area between the cork and wine, forcing the cork up and out of the bottle. Fun party trick. (via whatthehale)
