GM: Bigger than Kuwait, More Debt Than Mexico

GM’s total revenue in 2008: $150 billion.
As a country, that would rank GM ahead of No. 59 Kuwait (at $149 billion) on the CIA’s world ranking on the basis of gross domestic product.

GM’s total debt: $172 billion.
That puts GM between Mexico (No. 28 at $181.2 billion) and India (No. 29 at $163.8 billion) on the CIA rankings based on external debt.
