“I wanted to see what socialized healthcare was actually like - so I went to Canada.”

Steven Crowder takes a pinhole camera up to Canada and discovers what socialized medicine is actually like in practice. It’s truly scary and appalling. Please watch this no matter what side of the debate you’re on, it’s educational.

Some quotes from the video:

Nurse at clinic: “You cannot have a blood test unless you have a family physician.” “How long does that take?” “You call the number and wait, usually 2-3 years. You are young, so you have the time to wait.”

Nurse: “If you want the blood test before that, go to a private clinic. It’s about $900.” (Ie. Pay for private, better healthcare)

Receptionist: “We have no doctors here.” “Why not?” “Ask the government, the pay is no good. If you have cash, some days you can have a doctor.”

Patient in Waiting Room: “My mother needed a leg amputated, but they did not do the operation for a year. Because they waited so long, the condition worsened, and now she has lost both her legs.”
