Collate: Foursquare for ibankers/lawyers
You know that recent article hyping Foursquare where a doctor recommends foursquaring everything we do, including, e.g., medical stuff, like taking prescription meds or going to a checkup?
It occurs to me that one arena where such an application might work is amongst ibankers and lawyers (a fiercely competitive BSD bunch, if I say so) logging in how many hours they’ve worked in a given day or week. Obviously with a leaderboards by organization, like a poor man’s league table. Embedded side applications could include tallying the number of times a third party says “let’s circle back” or “let’s table that.”
Y’all think I’m being sarcastic. I’m not. Speaking from experience: I will play anything to see if I can win. We have a while before the market picks back up enough for this to be widely relevant and useable. Let’s capitalize. Excuse the pun.
This is so hilarious it might actually work. You should also earn badges for eating 10 meals or more in a week at your desk, consecutive Saturdays worked, each time your associate says “Why don’t you take a crack at it, then I’ll come in over the top”, etc.
There would also be an “Ironman” badge for most hours logged in the office each week, and “Sandman” for the last out of the office each night.
This is either funny or extremely sad, I’m losing the ability to distinguish…
