Was Robin Hood the Ultimate Liberal or the Ultimate Republican?
It’s commonly-accepted wisdom that Robin Hood was a liberal. After all, he robbed from the rich and gave to the poor.
Interestingly however, that money that Robin Hood redistributed was actually tax revenue wrung from the people through over-taxation, and he was stealing it from the government and giving it back to the taxpayers.
Robin Hood was also for small government and the right to bear arms, busted members of the religious right out of prison, engaged in preemptive strikes against hostile enemies, and ran a militia.
