bijan:

Jon Stewart is amazing.

The Dec 22nd, 2006 video is the crux of the entire interview for me.

“I want the Jim Cramer on CNBC to protect me from that Jim Cramer” - Jon Stewart

“The regulators watch this tape, they understand the shenanigans that go on, they go after this” - Jim Cramer

YOUR schnanigans, the ones you just ADMITTED to engaging to on VIDEOTAPE.

Forget about asking if Cramer’s career is over, the question I have is, how is Jim Cramer not locked up?

Why should Cramer be locked up? Realize what you’re suggesting here - that the man go to jail for giving free bad advice. Giving bad advice is not illegal. You didn’t even pay him for his advice. It’s literally as though I walked up to you on a street corner and said “I’m a financial advisor, buy Bear Stearns.” If you did it and lost money, that’s your own fault for following my advice without doing your own research.

Also, if you’re managing your money blindly based on what Jim Cramer screams on Mad Money, you have serious issues.
