“The Perks of Being a Wallflower”

Anyone read it? Any good?

I read [and got a ton of my friends to read] TPBW sometime during my late high school years. It’s ridden with teenage angst concerning love, being lost, acceptance, growing up, blah blah blah. It’s quite refreshing and thought provoking. I haven’t read it in a while, so I’m not sure how I would feel about it as a 23 year old, but I remember loving it as a teenager. It’s easy to relate to and empathize with. I think as a young adult, I would feel nostalgic and reminiscent of my “youth” if I were to read it again, today.

All in all, if you like coming of age stories, you’ll like this one. It’s less typical than the classic all boy prep school setting. Besides, it’s a quick read so you should just eat it up and make up your own mind, and then I want to know how you feel about it! /two cents

Now I’ll definitely pick it up. Thanks!
